All hail the king of herbs

Well for starters I had no clue that it was so god damn easy getting your hands on some good quality weed in this sleepy little town called Bangalore. So off I went in search of it, day in and day out, but with no luck. A lot of people promised me some when they came a-visitin’ the next time round. But the buggers never showed up. And I was miserable.

But then I found this website : WeBeHigh

This place is a treasure chest of info on how to procure marijuana not only in India, but around the world. This globetrotter has a lowdown on weed prices and locations to obtain it in most popular cities. Hell I didn’t even know such a thick network existed in my hometown Pune.

Hold on. That’s not all. This guy has such dedication to the subject that he has a toolbar put up on his website for download. What does it do? It helps you search marijuana related links, fetches the latest news on weed and related subjects, shows you up-to-date information on marijuana prices around the world and chat with other WeBeHigh user (a.k.a rest of the stoner junta). Further more the website has a translator, rudimentary but nevertheless useful, which tells you the translation for the word weed or marijuana in the selected language and also few helpful sentences so that you can ask the locals where you could find the stuff. Cool, no?

Seems that the age old saying is true. Man made booze, God made weed. What you don’t believe me? Look even the governator supports it.

Way out…dudes. Time tah fire up the bong!!!

Waat the deuce eez thees?

I have always been tickled by the poetic love-making that goes on just above the spare tyre of long haul trucks in India. Especially the ones which carry a Haryana, Rajasthan or Punjab registration plate. Some really funny ones could be found at Akhilesh’s website.

But Bangalore seems to have an alternative to everything. It’s probably just one of those victims of the Ulhasnagar syndrome (remember the small Mumbai suburb that makes shabby replicas of popular items). I have seen at least 10 rip-offs of KFC in this city. Enterprising or not, it is borderline plagiarism if you ask me.

But I digress. Bangalore has it’s own bumper-sticker poets’ society so to say. I’ve seen a wide variety of them in the 2 years or so that I have spent here. And I’ve wasted no time in capturing those on my mobile. “Dirty Hari’s”, “Love Birads” ,”Black Thundarr”, “Waiting for u only”, “No Fair” are some gems I’ve come across. But the top honours go to the one below:

This on a 1998 Maruti Zen with one broken tail lamp and struts that made a squeaking sound when passing over a 1 inch deep ditch??Hmmm….bad to the bone I say ;) !!!
