Nike + iPod
Nike has developed a new shoe technology where the shoe will sync up with an iPod Nano and record various data about the joggers' running. The kit, soon to hit Apple's online stores, will be fully programmable according to the athletes' workout. A woman's voice will guide the user through the schedule and once the schedule is completed the information from the iPod can be synced with that on the computer to track the progress. What's more you can even play yourown favorite work-out tunes while you run.
Lance Armstrong endorsed the new product suggesting a "Calories Burnt" facility will make the product more appealing to the jogging and fitness enthusiast apart from the sportsmen.
The Nike Zoom Moire (the specially designed shoe) costs $100 and the Nike+ sport kit costs $29. No clear idea if this covers the cost of the iPod or not. But this is one hell of an iPod Hack.
