XBox 360 losing out to PS3 and Wii
Seems like the blues are here again for Microsoft. The XBox 360 console which seemed to be picking up pace by hitting stores the earliest last holiday season, is set for a major setback. The Nintendo Wii and Sony's PS3 are both designed to have motion sensitive controllers. Here's what Reuters has to say,
Nintendo's Wii controller, shaped like a TV remote control, allows a player to smash serves and hit topspin forehands in a virtual tennis match with a built-in speaker in the controller to offer both the vibration and sound of hitting the ball.
Wedbrush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter says,
"Many developers will opt to make games for the PS3 and the Wii and will not make the same game for the Xbox 360, giving Sony and Nintendo a content advantage over Microsoft"
Is Microsoft again going to have to take the back seat in the console wars because there won't be enough content for the XBox? I guess only time will tell. Right now I'm just mourning the fact that a PS3 is going to cost $499
